The Royal Court of East Bréifne O’Reilly is creating annual awards to recognise, celebrate and award our children who have unfortunately suffered hardship, illness, personal loss, and other challenges in their lives. However, have shown resilience and adaptability in the face of adversity to prevent their education or personal development from being materially affected.

These children normally go unrecognised, they suffer in silence, they feel alone and isolated, but now is the time that we all stand up and recognise and celebrate these incredible children. Let’s award their resilience and adaptability and hold them up as role models to their peers. While instilling an even greater level of self-confidence in them, and assisting their future development into confident, well-rounded responsible adults, so they can strive to live out their dreams and goals.

The Awards will be for school children of primary and secondary school age, from counties Cavan, Fermanagh, Longford, Meath & Westmeath, and the annual awards ceremony will be held in County Cavan. We do intend to expand the geographic coverage of the awards after the first year.

There will be an Awards Committee that will open up the invitation process for nominating children for awards, this is expected to come from every Primary & Secondary school, and from across the wider community.

These awards are not about the smartest, sportiest, or most popular children, this is about celebrating and awarding those children, who have shown resilience and adaptability in the face of adversity to maintain their personal development and education.

Our children need you, our communities need you to help recognise and celebrate these amazing children. If you feel you could be a good addition to the Awards Committee then please step forward and contact  members@theroyalcourtofeastbreifneoreilly.org
